Preview of Kalakalappu 2 and Savarakathi

 

Kalakalappu 2 and Savarakathi will be hitting the screens this Friday (February 9, 2018) and interestingly, both the movies are multi-starrers with the ensemble of well known faces in films. Also, one or more hardly known films might hit theatre screens this weekend as well.


Kalakalappu 2

  • Director Sundar. C's Kalakalappu 2 is a multi-starrer with the main cast alone comprising of Jiiva, Catherine Tresa, Jai, Nikki Galrani and Shiva. Given the director's history with ensemble movies -  Kalakalappu (2012), Theeya Velai Seiyanum Kumaru (2013), Aranmanai (2014), Aambala (2015) and Aranmanai 2 (2016), the movie can be trusted as an assured entertainer. Also, it would be interesting to see how different Kalakalappu 2 would be from its predecessors.
  • Director Sundar.C who is best known for his infusion of comedy is back with a sequel to his 2012's super-hit film and going by the teaser and trailer, the film promises to be no less than Kalakalappu in terms of being a complete comic caper.
 
Savrakathi 
  • The names Mysskin and Ram have always translated into what one would call 'serious' on the silverscreen. However, Savarakathi promises to be different as the trailers indicate a lighter and more fun vibe attached to the film. It would be interesting to watch what kind of a 'fun-film' a debut director with movie genetics like G.R. Aditya (Mysskin's brother) has with barber, convict on parole and a hearining-impaired pregnant lady characters.
  • Arroll Corelli's music is another aspect to look forward to in the film.
