Earlier today, actor Jiiva's 29th film Gorilla began shooting with an official pooja ceremony. The team will also be launching the title logo of the movie at 5 this evening. Actress Shalini Pandey of Arjun Reddy fame will be seen playing the female lead in this movie which also has a real life Chimpanzee playing a pivotal role in it. Touted to be a heist comedy thriller, Gorilla is directed by Don Sandy and will have a month-long shoot at Thailand. 

The film which has a technical crew of Sam C.S. for music and Ruben for the edits, plans to wrap by April, 2018 and hit theatre screens during the school holidays this summer.
