Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren Songs - Music Review

Ramesh S Kannan

Oru Nalla Naal Paathu solren is an upcoming Tamil adventure comedy film directed by Arumuga Kumar with Vijay Sethupathi, GauthamKarthik in the lead roles. Justin Prabhakaran scores music for this film after a relatively low key 2017 for the composer. Let's check out whether Justin ably to make an impressive comeback with this film or not.

Lamba Lamba:

Lamba Lamba is an incredibly funky song has an absurdly catchy hook sung with enough verve by Christopher Stanley and ably supported by Femcee's rap portions. KarthikNetha's crazy mix of amusing lyrics easily fits the tone of the song. The song gains a lot from Vijay Sethupathi's dialogue mix and the funny outlook.

Yae Elumba Enni:

Yae Elumba Enni is completely situational and features enticing tribal percussions played by Kumar and Thumba Raja. However the tune takes time to stick in the listener's mind. Sharanya Gopinath's boom box vocals aptly fits the mood of the song and she is backed by delightful vocal mix of ACS Ravichandran, Dr.Narayanan and MC Vickey.

Hey Reengara

Hey Reengara is the conventional sounding track in the album strictly in comparison with the other tracks in the album and Nikhita Gandhi's lounge'ish vocals are ably supported by Saisharan and Mark Thomas. Josh Mark's acoustic guitar laden arrangements works easily till the kuthu digression comes in the half way mark.

Rakozhi Kootaalinga:

Rakozhi Kootaalinga tune works more like a situational one rather than as a standalone soundtrack. Justin makes up for the tune with an impressive concoction of sound cues lead by tribal sounds played by V Kumar and Thumba Raja. Raviarasu delivered the song with enough grunginess in vocals and sets the tone for the song.

Bottomline: Justin Prabhakaran's soundtrack is unconventional and the tracks are wacky enough to raise the expectations for the movie.
