Breaking - Is this the release date of Magalir Mattum?

The release of Jyothika's upcoming movie Magalir Mattum has been postponed from its earlier planned date of August 10, 2017. We believe the decision was taken, following the announcement of Dhanush's VIP 2 releasing the next day i.e August 11, 2017.  With this month and the next looking packed with pre-planned releases like Vivegam (August 24, 2017), Neruppu Da, Karuppan (September 8, 2017) and Velaikkaran, Spyder (Dusshera), looks like Suriya's 2D Entertainment and Chris Pictures have decided on releasing Magalir Mattum on September 15, 2017. 

Though Vijay Sethupathi starrer Puriyaatha Puthir has decided to hit theatre screens on September 1, 2017, it would be a considerable risk for Magalir Mattum given that Ajith's Vivegam is releasing only a week before. Also since Vijay Sethupathi's other release Karuppan have not confirmed on their release date, in case of their backing out, it is likely that Magalir Mattum hits theatres on September 8, 2017. However the chances of this happening are very less.  

Named after the hit film of 94, Magalir Mattum has been censored with a clean U by the Central Board of Film Certification. Written and directed by Bramma (of Kuttram Kadidhal fame), the movie's cast also has Saranya Ponvannan, Bhanupriya, Urvashi, Nassar and Livingston with Ghibran for the music, Manikandan for cinematography and CS Prem for the edits.
