Vedalam's record breaking collection:

Ajith's Vedalam has done a record day 1 box office collection in Tamil Nadu. The movie is said to have grossed Rs 15.5 crore in Tamil Nadu, which is the best in Ajith's career. In Kerala, the movie had collected Rs 1.2 crore, which is on par with a Rajinikanth or Vijay movies. In USA, Thoongavanam has collected $76,115 and Vedalam has collected $92,392 from the premieres.
