The makers of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film Seyon have announced that Bhagyashri Borse has joined the cast — and the news came as a birthday surprise for the actor herself. The announcement featured an image of Bhagyashri holding a peacock feather, offering a first glimpse of her character. "A birthday to remember and a journey to look forward to!" the makers wrote, with Bhagyashri calling it "the best birthday gift."
Bhagyashri recently made her Tamil debut in Kaantha opposite Dulquer Salmaan, and was most recently seen in the Telugu film Andhra King Taluka alongside Ram Pothineni and Upendra. She also has Lenin with Akhil Akkineni in the pipeline.
Directed by Sivakumar Murugesan — whose debut Thaai Kizhavi earned appreciation from Kamal Haasan himself — Seyon is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International alongside R Mahendran. The film also stars Bala Saravanan and Aruldoss. On the technical front, Santhosh Narayanan composes the music, with cinematographer Vivek Vijayakumar, editor San Lokesh, art director RK Nagu, and action choreographer Supreme Sundar completing the crew. Seyon is targeting an October theatrical release.
