Pre-production for Thalaivar 173, starring Rajinikanth, is gaining momentum, with director Cibi Chakravarthi actively working on the actor’s look for the film.

According to reports, the filmmaker has designed over 80 looks for Rajinikanth’s character, out of which three have been shortlisted and will be presented to the actor for final approval. 

The film, produced by Kamal Haasan, is expected to be an action entertainer, with early glimpses suggesting elements tied to the world of tailoring and fashion.

Music for the project will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with a Pongal 2027 release being planned. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s immediate next release is Jailer 2, directed by Nelson, as the superstar lines up a series of big-ticket entertainers.
