Bharath, who awaits the release of Kaalidas 2, has opened up about the emotional significance of the sequel, calling the first film a “comeback” during a difficult phase in his career. Speaking at the trailer launch, Bharath said Kaalidas (2019) was a turning point for him. “It became a huge support and a comeback film during a fluctuating period in my life,” he shared, adding that returning for the sequel feels special.

The actor also clarified that Kaalidas 2, directed by Sri Senthil, will not be a regular crime thriller. Instead, it blends emotional drama with crime, exploring both organised and emotional aspects of crime.

Highlighting his role, Bharath noted that his character retains a subtle approach. “There are no loud moments—no shouting, no punch dialogues. It’s the same understated performance style as the first film,” he said.

The sequel also marks the return of Sangeetha to Tamil cinema after a long gap, alongside a strong cast including Prakash Raj and Kishore. Kaalidas 2 is set to release in theatres on April 10.
