R Madhavan Begins Shooting for GD Naidu Biopic 'GDN' - First Look Unveiled

Renowned actor R Madhavan has officially commenced shooting for his upcoming biopic GDN, based on the life of revolutionary scientist GD Naidu. On February 18, 2025, Madhavan took to Instagram to share the film’s first look, coinciding with the start of the production schedule in India.

Madhavan will portray GD Naidu, often hailed as the "Edison of India" for his groundbreaking contributions to science and technology, including pioneering the first electric motor manufactured in India. The film is helmed by director Krishnakumar Ramakumar and boasts a stellar cast featuring Priyamani, Yogi Babu, and Jayaram. The music for the biopic will be composed by Govind Vasantha.

With five years of meticulous research dedicated to bringing Naidu’s life to the big screen, the makers aim to present an authentic and compelling portrayal of the visionary scientist. GDN marks Madhavan’s continued foray into biographical films following his acclaimed performance in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
