DD Next Level starring Santhanam in the lead is the fourth film of the actor's horror comedy franchise, after DD Returns (2023), Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 (2019), and Dhilluku Dhuddu (2016). Written and directed by S Prem Anand of DD Returns fame, DD Next Level is a joint production venture of actor Arya's The Show People, and Niharika Entertainment. 

DD Next Level is scheduled to release in May, 2025, and recently it was updated by the makers that Santhanam has begin dubbing for this movie. A BTS video was also unveiled where Santhanam is seen giving voice-over to a scene featuring himself and Gautham Vasudev Menon, who plays a character role in DD Next Level.

The 'DD' in DD Next Level stands for devil's double. The movie has Ofro for music, Dipak Kumar Padhy for cinematography, Bharath Vikraman for edits, Mohan AR for art, Silva for stunts, and also stars Selvaraghavan, 'Motta' Rajendran, Yashika Anand, Geethika, among others.
