Aghathiyaa starring Jiiva, Raashi Khanna, Arjun Sarja among others is a period fantasy thriller directed by Pa Vijay. A production venture of Vels Film International, the movie was scheduled to release on January 31, 2025 in Tamil and Telugu languages. However Aghathiyaa's release date has been postponed to February 28, 2025. 

Many small and medium budget film in Tamil Cinema underwent a reshuffle of their release dates in 2025 first half. This is because Vidaamuyarchi which incidentally also stars Arjun Sarja in an important role, pushed its scheduled release from January 2025 to February 6, 2025. 

Aghathiyaa comes with the tagline Angels Vs Devils, and also stars Yogi Babu, Reddin Kingsley, Datho, Radha Ravi, Edward Sonnen Blick, Matylda, amogn others. The movie has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music, Deepak Kumar Pathy for cinematography, San Lokesh for edits, P.Shanmugam for art direction, Pa Vijay for lyrics, and Kalaimaamani Sridhar for choreography.
