Music composer GV Prakash had two releases this Diwali 2024, Amaran starring Sivakarthikeyan in Tamil, and Lucky Baskhar starring Dulquer Salmaan in Telugu. Both movies have opened to critical as well as commercial acclaim. 

While Raaj Kamal Films International has officially decalred Amaran's day 1 box-office collection as Rs. 42.3 Cr, amidst the outpour of love it is receiving from the critics, and audience, Lucky Baskhar has collected Rs. 12. 70 Cr. on day 1 worldwide. Sithara Entertainments, one of the producers of Lucky Baskhar estimates that the day 2 collections will exceed day 1 box-office for the Dulquer Salmaan starrer. 

GV Prakash sent out a celebratory message on his social media platforms, marking the success of both Amaran and Lucky Baskhar on Friday. It read, "#Amaran #LuckyBaskhar …two states two blockbusters . 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🔥🔥🔥🔥🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 ….. ❤️❤️❤️ #HappyDiwali all of you … thanks for the lovely response for my music."

Filmmaker Sudha Kongara, whom GV Prakash will be working with next, also congratulated the music composer's double victory this Diwali. She shared,
