Meiyazhagan starring Karthi, Arvind Swami in the lead is a slice-of-life drama which released in theaters on September 27, 2024 to a warm reception. The movie follows Arulmozhi Varman's (Arvind Swami) bittersweet journey back to his hometown after 22 years, and meets an insistent yet kind-hearted relative (Karthi), whise name Arul can't remember. 

Meiyazhagan's OTT release date is October 25, 2024. Netflix has officially announced that Meiyazhagan will stream in Tamil. Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages with English subtitles. 

Meiyazhagan comes with a runtime of 2 hours and 38 minutes. Suriya, Jyotika's 2D Entertainment has produced the film, and it is written and directed by C. Prem Kumar. Govind Vasantha has composed music for Meiyazhagan, whereas Mahendra Jeyaraju has handled the cinematography, and R. Govind Raj the edits.

S. Bhaskar in a cameo as a Jallikattu commentator.
