Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan in the lead is an upcoming sequel to Shankar's blockbuster hit Indian (1996) and the movie is scheduled to release in theaters on July 12, 2024. Indian 2 will also be releasing in Hindi as Hindustaani 2 and Telugu as Bharateeyudu 2, and the first single from these movies titled Paaraa (Tamil), Jaago (Hindi) and Souraa (Telugu) are out now.

Indian 2 has Anirudh Ravichander for music and he has lent his vocals for the first single in all languages. Shruthika Samudhrala has co-sung the Indian 2 first single in all languages whereas the lyrics for Paaraa are written by Pa Vijay, Souraa by Suddala Ashok Teja, and Jaago by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.

A Lyca Productions venture, the movie has Sony Music as the audio label. Indian 2 is gearing up for a grand audio launch on June 1, 2024 [Saturday].
