Thug Life co-written, co-produced and starring Kamal Haasan in the lead is an upcoming Mani Ratnam directed multi-starrer. The Tamil movie is all set to begin a new schedule at Chennai next week, and at this time the movie's release plans have surfaced.

Thug Life which also stars Silambarasan TR in a pivotal role, is planning to hit theater screens in November or December this year. It remains to be seen if the makers utilize any of the holiday slots that fall in the said months like Diwali, Christmas or New Year's eve.  

Thug Life marks the second collaboration of Kamal Haasan with Mani Ratnam after Nayakan (1987). The movie is jointly written by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and its cast includes Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashok Selvan, Abhirami, Nasser, Vaiyapuri, Sanya Malhotra, Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi among others.

A joint production venture of Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies and Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies, Thug Life has AR Rahman for music, Ravi K Chandran for cinematography, Anbariv for action, Sreekar Prasad for edits.  The movie's overseas distribution was recently bagged by AP International and Home Screen Entertainment for a whopping price of Rs. 63 Cr.
