Raayan is an upcoming action thriller written, directed and lead by actor Dhanush. A Sun Pictures production, the movie has AR Rahman for music, and marking the occassion of Tamil New Year on Sunday, it was officially announced that Raayan is gearing up for a first single release.

A new Raayan poster featuring Dhanush, Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram and Sundeep Kishan accompanied the first single update.

Raayan is Dhanush's 50th film as actor, and second film as director. Set in the backdrop of North Chennai, the movie has Om Prakash for cinematography, Prasanna GK for edits.
