Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food is a Nayanthara lead Tamil culinary drama, that is written and directed by debutant Nilesh Krishna. A joint production venture of Zee Studios, Naad Sstudios and Trident Arts, Annapoorai released in theaters on December 1, 2023. Despite a mixed viewer response, this Nayanthara film has managed to stay in theaters for 25 days.

A tale of an aspiring chef who has a natural talent for cooking, Annapoorani explores how the titular character from a staunch vegetarian background goes against the odds to realize her dream. The film also stars Achyuth Kumar, Sathyaraj, Jai, Karthik Kumar among others in important roles. The movie with S Thaman for music, is gearing up for its digital premiere on Netflix; December 29, 2023 is Annapoorani's OTT release date.
