Vijay starrer Leo which released in theaters worldwide on October 19, 2023 [Thursday] had a phenomenal box-office weekend not just domestically but in overseas markets as well. The 7 Screen Studios production has now become the first Tamil film to be charted on the global ComScore website.

Leo is charted among international releases like Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon which has names like Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone and popstar Taylor Swift's uber-popular Eras Tour concert film. 

Leo is a gangster action thriller written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is part of the filmmaker's LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) franchise. The multi-starrer film inspired from the graphic novel A History of Violence (1997) has has grossed a whopping $48.5 M i.e. Rs. 400 Cr. in just 4 days [October 19, 2023 - October 22, 2023] of release.

The Tamil-Indian movie also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Priya Anand,  Madonna Sebastin, Anurag Kashyap, Denzel Smith among others and has Anirudh Ravichander for music.
