D50 (tentative title) is actor Dhanush's next movie after his ongoing Captain Miller, and not only will Dhanush star as a lead but also direct this movie. Touted to be titled Raayan, D50 is set against the North Chennai backdrop and was recently in the news for roping in AR Rahman for music. While an official announcement on AR Rahman awaits, buzz has it that actress Trisha will be playing one of the female leads in D 50.

Dhanush and Trisha have previously starred together in the 2016 film Kodi and if on-board, D 50 will be Trisha's second film with the actor and first time under Dhanush's direction. A Sun Pictures production, D 50 is expected to have an official update soon. The film also stars SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan (as Dhanush's brothers), Dushara Vijayan, Vishnu Vishal, Kalidas Jayaram among others.
