Harris Jayaraj returns after a hiatus for the movie Legend directed by JD- Jerry of Whistle fame with 'Legend' Saravanan as a lead. Let's check whether Harris Jayaraj can regain his mojo back with this album.

Kone Komaane:

Kone Komaane's instant catchy tune gets much better thanks to Chandana Bala Kalyan's punchy vocals who returns to playback singing in Tamil after a long time. Javed Ali in his dependable self ably supports her. Harris Jayaraj keeps the rhythm foot tapping while incorporating interesting set of sounds amidst mridangam/Shenai bits in the interludes.

Mosalo Mosalu:

Pa Vijay's erratic force-fitted lyrics aside, Mosalo Mosalu gains immensely from the catchy hook Achacho bit. Armaan Malik and Mukesh Mohamed infuse adequate energy with their rendition. At the same time, Harris does much better regarding the nifty use of Saroja's Sarangi and delightful Ramanathan's saxophone which brings memories of Harris's numerous beautiful Sax BGMs.

Konji Konji:

Konji Konji starts with an impeccable one-minute flute solo that sounds more like a pleasing subtle tweak to Mosalo Mosalu's catchy hook. It's a delight to listen to KK once again in Harris's music and Shreya Goshal owns the free-flowing ballad tune with her spectacular rendition. Harris loaded the background with the sweeping string sections when the singers delivered the tune with aplomb.

Po Po Po:

Po Po Po is a mixed bag despite the bunch of stellar singers KK, Prasad SN, and Jonita Gandhi. Though the part of the tune sounds listenable, the overall track lacks the cohesiveness of the individual bits and Karky's gimmicky lyrics don't help either.

Vaadi Vaasal:

Harris tries the folk with the Vaadi Vaasal which derives a lot from Benny Dayal's spirited rendition and the punchy percussions accompanying it. The tune fizzles out intermittently with Snehan's middling lyrics despite all the heavy lifting done by Jonita Gandhi and Benny Dayal while Harris’s tunes help to sail through the hitches to some extent.

Maayakaari:

Harris reserves the best for the Bombay Jayashree-Unnimenon combo and they aced the song as expected especially Bombay Jayashree with her mesmerizing vocals. The composer kept the arrangements minimal while allowing singers to take a lead and the title hook provides a serene feel to the overall tone of the song.

Bottomline:

Harris delivers the refreshing album by utilizing the stellar set of established singers for the signature tunes from the composer.
