Karthi starrer upcoming crime thriller Sardar, which will feature the actor in a double role is all set to release in theaters this Diwali. It was officially announced today that Sardar directed by PS Mithran and produced by Prince Pictures will be releasing in October, 2022 though an official date remains to be announced. It was also officially confirmed that Sardar's post-theatrical OTT, satellite rights have been bagged by Aha Tamil and Kalaignar TV respectively.

Sardar also stars Raashi Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Simran, Munishkanth, Chunky Pandey, Murali Sharma, Ilavarasu among others. The film has GV Prakash for music and Sony Music South holds the audio rights to the film's album.
