Valimai is an Ajith starrer directed by H. Vinoth which released in February this year and is currently streaming on Zee 5 OTT platform. The movie which primarily showcases how an outlawed biker gang in Chennai is involved in theft, drugs and murder due to unemployment and depression, seems to have left an impression on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister (CM) MK Stalin.

Reportedly, after watching Valimai, the CM is said to have been curious about the film's inspiration, considering H Vinoth bases his stories off of real-life incidents. CM Stalin has apparently asked his team to find out if such a drug network exists in Tamil Nadu, and his team has decided to start with enquiring H. Vinoth about the same. 

This news comes at a time when operation 'Ganja Vettai 2.0' has only just begun in Tamil Nadu. TN police is carrying out this state-wide operation to curb the sale of ganja and pan masala products and have already made a significant number of arrests. It began on March 28, 2022 and will end on April 27, 2022.
