KVN Productions released the roughly five-minute-long trailer for Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups this Saturday, offering a deeper look at Geetu Mohandas' film starring Yash in dual roles. It opens with a child pleading with his father not to hurt him, before revealing the boy grows up carrying a sense of vengeance — culminating in a physical clash between father and son, both played by Yash.

The trailer also gives more room to the film's female cast — Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria — moving away from the fleeting, criticized portrayals seen in earlier teasers that drew accusations of objectification.

Packed with action and high stakes, the trailer weaves in themes of masculinity, the underworld, and mafia dynamics, further fueling anticipation for Yash's first release since the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, who co-wrote the screenplay with Yash, the film is produced by Venkat K Narayana of KVN Productions and Yash under his Monster Mind Creations banner. The technical team includes composers Ravi Basrur, Vishal Mishra, and Tanishk Bagchi, cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, editor Ujwal Kulkarni, and production designer TP Abid.

Shot in English and Kannada, Toxic releases worldwide on August 26, with dubbed versions expected in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
