Composer A.R. Rahman in a recent radio interview has updated on the music of Mani Ratnam's upcoming mangum opus Ponniyin Selvan. Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 is scheduled to release on September 30, 2022 and A.R. Rahman has said that the background score for the movie was worked at the composer's recently launched Firdaus Studio at Dubai.
Apparently Rahman invited Mani Ratnam to Dubai to take a look at his studio and the director made use of the time to proceed with the background score work for his film. ARR also added that the filmmaker is focussed on completing the work for his movie as soon as possible.
Bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, Ponniyin Selvan will be releasing in two parts and comes with a star-ensemble of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha among others. The movie is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's Tamil novel of the same name.
