Ajith starrer Valimai released in four languages on February 24, 2022 and despite the mixed reviews coming the film's way, the movie's box-office numbers seem to be doing well in Tamil Nadu. Valimai opened on a non-holiday Thursday in Tamil Nadu. The movie went on to become Ajith's highest opening in the state's capital city Chennai besides some other overseas locations.
