Actress Amala Akkineni is making a return to Tamil movies after 28 years with an upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. The movie which is titled Oke Oka Jeevitham in Telugu recently had its Tamil title reveal to be Kanam. 

Kanam will also mark the return of actor Sharwanand to Tamil movies, 6 years since the 2015 release JK Enum Nanbnin Vaazhkai. Directed by Shree Karthick, Kanam is said to revolve around the mother-son relationship between Amala and Sharwanand and also stars Ritu Varma as the female lead. 

The Tamil version has Sathish and Ramesh Thilak playing supporting roles with Jakes Bejoy for music.
