Over the weekend, cricketer Harbhajan Singh's Tamil movie debut Friendship had a single release titled Superstar Anthem which is sung by actor Simbu (STR) and is an ode to Rajinikanth's 'Superstar' status. The lyric video released on Lahari Music's YouTube channel declares that the track was 'inspired from' the Malayalam movie Queen.  

It is infact a rhythm-to-rhythm, lyric-to-lyric recreation of the Malayalam song Lal Anthem, which featured in the movie Queen as an ode to Malayalam star actor Mohanlal (fondly known as Lal Ettan). While the original number was composed by Jakes Bejoy and penned by Sharis Mohammad and Joe Paul, the Tamil version is composed by D.M.Udhaya Kumar with lyrics by Gowtham R.
