Radha Ravi has been a habitual verbal offender, who often gets into controversies for his misogynistic and insensitive comments against women in the film industry. In the latest edition of one such mindless speech, he spoke about Nayanthara in a deragatory manner. He also passed some distasteful comments on the Pollachi issue. As a blessing in disguise, the film industry has finally come together against Radha Ravi and are now unanimously saying "Enough is enough."
Production houses and directors boycott Radha Ravi
Production house KJR Studios has taken a firm stand not to cast Radha Ravi in any of their films henceforth.
We sincerely condemn Mr #RadhaRavi and will not cast him in any of our films and we will strongly advice our associates and friends in the industry not to cast him either.#Nayanthara #KolaiyuthirKaalam #KJRStudios pic.twitter.com/IHDLBo3s9H

Director Milind Rau of 'Aval' fame has posted on Twitter that he will never work with Radha Ravi again.
This is disgusting behaviour!I personally take a stand that I will never work with this misogynistic person ever again! @Chinmayi U are absolutely right on calling him out on this! And I stand with U and @23_rahulr on ur rightful crusade against what he represents!#EnoughIsEnough https://t.co/JVDQpMlRMn

Co-stars and technicians raise their voice
This speech of Radha Ravi has also given fresh momentum to Chinmayi, who has been raising her voice about the unfair treatment of women in the industry. In fact, Radha Ravi evicted Chinmayi from the dubbing union recently.
Music director Govind Vasantha of '96' fame has tweeted that Chinmayi will continue to sing in his films and none else can decide on his behalf.
@Chinmayi WILL sing in my films till SHE says NO to me. No one else will decide on behalf of me.

Vignesh Shivn, Samantha, Rana Daggubati, Taapsee, Shanthnu, Vishal, Rohini, Radhika Sarathkumar, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and several others have chided Radha Ravi for his aversive comments.
Just heard some filthy comments from Mr.#RadhaRavi to press about a very fine actor. Your comments sir reflect the "filth in your character" and the "fineness in her many performances" as actor.
— Rana Daggubati (@RanaDaggubati) March 25, 2019
Such a shame to the community you are!! #RadhaRavi
This is disgusting beyond words. Who asked him about casting pre requisites and is he the president of character certificate association? This comes for one of the strongest actresses of the industry,I can only wonder what he might have to say about others https://t.co/tFjTZ04gRB

If the Dubbing artists union committee members stood by me when I raised my voice against Radha Ravi for talking ill of women, there would have been some respect for the committee.
— Rohini Molleti (@Rohinimolleti) March 25, 2019
Instead he removed me from the committee
Dear #radharavi SIR.Yes as a gen Secy of Nadigar sangam I wish I had da pleasure of signing the letter of condemning u 4 yr stupidity n yr recent speech against women n particular.its snt 2 u.grow https://t.co/IgLu1huAfc yaself Ravi fm nowonwrds Coz u hv a woman s name n ya name.

Not d 1st time #RadhaRavi sir has shamed a woman on stage!I’ve seen many such incidents go unnoticed but #Nayanthara is a SuperWoman &beyond! Her growth is clearly visible jus wid her dedication&hardwork! We can all bark here but I really wish some action is taken by the right ppl
— Shanthnu Buddy (@imKBRshanthnu) March 25, 2019
Shaming women, making offensive jokes on women (which they think is not offensive) degrading women, using women as eye candy have all bcom a part of this #filmindustry thanks to our previous generations of women n men who didn’t react n instead thought it was ok..this is our state
— varalaxmi sarathkumar (@varusarath) March 24, 2019
Extremely immature and disgusting of #RadhaRavi. He has repeatedly displayed his lack of respect for women and common decency. I hope directors and producers stop working with him and stop inviting him to events.

Sighhh Mr.Radha Ravi the struggle to stay relevant . You’re a sad man and we all feel sorry for you . May your soul or whatever is left of it find peace ✌️. We ll send you tickets for Nayanthara’s next superhit film .. have some popcorn and take a chill pill.
— Samantha Akkineni (@Samanthaprabhu2) March 25, 2019
Just a reminder that this Radha Ravi banned me from the dubbing union.
— Chinmayi Sripaada (@Chinmayi) March 24, 2019
I haven’t recorded one Tamil song since October 2018.
So much is the loyalty for Vairamuthu and Radha Ravi. Or is it because or their political affiliations?
Celebrate the molesters and ban the women. 👏
In 2018, there was a sexual harassment complaint against Mr.Radha Ravi by a distressed actress, who feared to reveal her identity. He walked scotfree. A little later Mr.Radha Ravi scandalously & insensitively mocked at the #MeToo movement.

What can the audience do?
Apart from condemning on social media, can audience do something more to make a bigger impact? Yes! They should boycott all the upcoming films that have Radha Ravi in them. This is the only way by which the film industry can be made to take a firm stand against such habitual offenders and protect the interests of victims.
As moviegoers, audience not only have the right to discard bad movies but also bad people. When we stop going to movies that have Radha Ravi in the cast, the industry will automatically stop casting him. This will put Radha Ravi in his place and stop him from displaying his high-handedness.
It's high time that the entire film industry and audience joined hands and put a full stop to Radha Ravi's venomous statements once for all.
