Lady Superstar Nayanthara's latest outing "Kolamaavu Kokila" which hit the screens on Friday received positive reviews from both the audience and critics alike. The dark comedy laced with humour has clicked very well with the audience and the word of mouth is extremely positive. The film had done very good business at the Box Office in its opening weekend and has grossed Rs. 11 crores in TN Box Office. The film released in more than 400+ screens in Tamil Nadu which is said to be the biggest release for Nayanthara.

Kolamaavu Kokila has become the Highest Women Centric Opener in Kollywood. Female-driven movies tasting box office success is not a common case. Thanks to brand Nayanthara and her "Lady Superstar" tag which has mainly helped in the success of the film apart from Anirudh's music. In Chennai City, the film has grossed Rs. 1.58 crores in its opening weekend and is leading the Box Office.
