Actor Prabhudeva's upcoming dark comedy film Gulebagavali has been recently announced to release for Pongal, 2018, joining the list of Tamil film releases this Pongal. Also with the announcement, a new poster has been released, featuring the lead actor and the film's female lead Hansika, who was last seen on the Tamil screen in 2017's early release Bogan.

Directed by S. Kalyan Krishnan, Gulebagavali has been produced by KJR Studios and has music by Vivek Merwin and cinematography by Anandh Kumar and edits by Vijay Velukutti. The film's audio is expected to be released soon by Think Music India.
