Puriyaatha Puthir Tamil Nadu Box Office Report

Vijay Sethupathi's long in the making Puriyaatha Puthir finally hit the screens on September 1, after several last minute hiccups and issues. The film has received mixed reviews and the opening has been strictly average. After the first 3 days, it has grossed around 2.5 CR in TN. 

The road ahead doesn't seem too promising given the ordinary talk surrounding the film and the flurry of new releases every week going forward. The general talk is that the film would have performed better had it released promptly a few years back when it was actually shot.
