English Vinglish(Tamil) + Ajith = Hit

English Vinglish is releasing big in Tamil and Hindi at around 150 screens. But, one factor that has made a huge difference in Tamil is Ajith's 3 minute cameo resulting in 110 additional prints just in Tamil. The movie is expected to have a good opening this weekend primarily due to Ajith. For all those math-leaning-minds, when you calculate the the Return of Investment (ROI) for Ajith's cameo, his value tends to infinity since he took NO money as remuneration. 

English Vinglish is a Perfect balance of comedy, drama and emotion

The Hindi version of English Vinglish has been getting rave critic reviews. Apart from Ajith/Amitabh's cameo, the movie firmly stands on its own merits with its beautifully crafted script and Sridevi's charming come-back performance. Many critics have already called it a "Must Watch" already. Variety.com called it "extremely chaste approach to conjugal relations and extramarital temptation with a crowd pleasing wrap-up". The preview screening reportedly received a lengthy standing ovation from audience members. DNA India wrote "If you're a Sridevi fan, you can't miss it. If you aren't, you still can't miss it.". Yet another reviewer went a bit overboard and said "If you watch only two films every year make sure you see 'English Vinglish' twice!"
