Maattrraan confirmed on October 12 

Much awaited big news of Maattrraan release is now officially announced by AGS. The movie is expected to release on October 12th. This has sent a wave of excitement in the distribution circles which has been turning down all biggies to back-out of Oct 12 because of Maattrraan big announcement. All small movies are making way 2 weeks before & after this date.

Maattrraan planning a Red Carpet Premiere in International Location 

Maattrraan is also planning to take this truly international by planning a Red Carpet premiere in one of the following major cities -- London, New York or Toronto. Since Eros is releasing this movie big after Endhiran couple of years ago, we can see some Endhiran scale promotions launched for this movie in domestic and overseas.

Will Vishwaroopam clash with Maattrraan?

Alex Pandian and Vishwaroopam are also planning to release on the same date. Alex Pandian will back out since it is Studio Green/Karthi's movie. However, Vishwaroopam which has been sitting in the cans for 2 months after readying the first copy was also planning for October 12th. Vishwaroopam press meet is expected to happen tomorrow where they will release their release plan. Maattrraan's announcement is expected to put a lot of pressure on Vishwaroopam to back out as well.
