MovieCrow Box Office Report - December 11 to 13

Finally, after the floods that ravaged Chennai for a couple of weeks, box office recovered a little with people getting back to watch movies on the big screens last weekend. Atharvaa's Eetti opened to positive reviews on December 11. Check out the box office ranking of Tamil movies in Chennai during last weekend.

1. Eetti

Eetti might just give the break that Atharvaa has been looking for a long time now. The movie took a good opening and the reviews have also been encouraging. It would be interesting to see how the movie holds on during the weekdays.

2. Inji Iduppazhagi

Although the movie had noble intentions, the execution wasn't up to the mark. This Arya - Anushka starrer lost majority of its screens last weekend, making it a below average grosser in Chennai.

3. Urumeen

Simha's Urumeen couldn't have released at a more inappropriate time. The movie released right when the flooding was at its peak, which has spoiled the box office prospects of the movie.

Other Movies

Ajith's Vedalam was still running across a handful of screens in the city, while other movies like Uppu Karuvadu, 144 and Thoongavanam were running across a couple of screens each.

Upcoming week's releases

The VIP team will be back with Thanga Magan on December 18. Expect the movie to set off the holiday season in style.
