On Monday, April 1, 2025, Marvel officially announced Spider-Man: Brand New Day's release date to be July 31, 2026. Tom Holland returns to play Peter Parker in a world which no longer remembers the existence of a super-hero called Spider-man, that he was part of the Avengers team that saved the planet, or that Spider-Man's real identity is a high IQ college-aspirant named Peter Parker.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be directed by American filmmaker Destin Yori Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed the MCU film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). American actress Sadie Sink of Stranger Things fame, is part of Spider-Man: Brand New Day's cast.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton confirmed during a Las Vegas ComicCon that Spider-Man: Brand New Day begins filming in Summer, 2025 i.e. between June to August, 2025. Before Spider-Man: Brand New Day, British actor Tom Holland will also be appearing as 'Spider-Man' in Antony and Joe Russo directed Avengers: Dooms Day, which releases on May 1, 2026.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a joint production venture of Disney and Sony Pictures. The movie is expected to mimic the 2008 comic of the same name, that marked a shift in Spider-Man's history from a beloved neighbourhood superhero to an unknown man living a single life, facing daily struggles with zero back-up, and dealing with new threats.
