Riding high on Karuppu's historic box office run, Suriya's next is already on the horizon. Vishwanath & Sons, directed by Venky Atluri, has been pushed from its original July window to August 14.

The film follows Sanjay Vishwanath, an ace pistol shooter in his 40s grappling with fading agility and focus, whose life is upended when a young woman played by Mamitha Baiju falls for him despite the significant age gap between them. The cast also includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Bhavani Sre, and Raveena Tandon, marking the Bollywood veteran's return to Tamil cinema after 24 years, her last being Kamal Haasan's Aalavandhan.

GV Prakash scores the music, reuniting with Venky Atluri for the third time after Vaathi and Lucky Baskhar, and with Suriya for the second time after Soorarai Pottru. Nimish Ravi handles cinematography and Navin Nooli edits. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas.

Suriya also has the yet-to-be-titled Suriya 47, directed by Jithu Madhavan and starring Nazriya Nazim and Naslen, in the pipeline.
