KPY fame Bala is set to lead Rematch, billed as Tamil cinema's first badminton-based sports drama. Actor Arya unveiled the first look poster for the film, written and directed by R Vimal Kumar.

The cast includes Santhosh Pratap, Dhanu Harsha, and Cell Murugan in key roles. Achu Rajamani scores the music, Arvi handles cinematography, and NB Srikanth edits. The film is backed by Dinesh Raj, Prakash Seshadri, and G Ravi Kumar. Plot details and a release date are yet to be announced.

Bala made his lead debut last year with Gandhi Kannadi, directed by Sherief of Ranam fame, which opened to mixed reviews.
