Fresh off LIK, Pradeep Ranganathan is reportedly set to step behind the camera as a producer once again. Reports suggest the actor is backing a women-centric film headlined by his Dude co-star Mamitha Baiju, with the project said to have gone on floors in Chennai on Tuesday. An official announcement is awaited.
As per reports, Ashwath Marimuthu, who directed Pradeep's Dragon, will appear in the film as a police officer. A debutant director, believed to be a former assistant of Pradeep, is said to be helming the project.
This would mark Pradeep's second production venture after Loveyapa, the Hindi remake of his own Love Today. Mamitha Baiju meanwhile is one of Tamil cinema's busiest actors at the moment, with Jana Nayagan, Vishwanath & Sons alongside Suriya, Irandu Vaanam with Vishnu Vishal, and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit with Nivin Pauly all in the pipeline.
