With Blast just days away from its May 28 release, actress Abhirami has been opening up about what it truly took to pull off the film's action sequences. In a video shared by producers AGS Entertainment, she candidly admitted that after two to three consecutive days of shooting stunts, she went to director Subash K Raj and pleaded for dialogue-heavy emotional scenes instead.

"Hitting someone on screen may look easy, but performing it convincingly without actually hurting the other person is extremely difficult," she said, adding that the dedicated training and extensive rehearsals made it a challenging yet exciting experience.

In Blast, Abhirami stars alongside Arjun and Preity Mukhundhan as part of an underrated middle-class family with martial arts skills who find themselves up against a ruthless gang. The supporting cast includes Vivek Prasanna, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pawan, and Dileepan among others.

Ravi Basrur, marking his Tamil debut, scores the music. Arun Radhakrishnan handles cinematography, Pradeep E Ragav edits, and Veeramani Ganesan takes care of art direction. The film is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh under AGS Entertainment
