Producer Naga Vamsi has expressed unwavering confidence in Suriya's upcoming film Vishwanath & Sons, calling it a "200 per cent blockbuster" in a recent interview. Speaking to M9 News, Vamsi said Karuppu's massive success has only increased his belief in the film rather than adding pressure. "Because I have seen the film and it is a 200 per cent blockbuster. Without even thinking about it for one second, people will come and enjoy watching the movie. It is a sure shot amazing film. It is a proper family movie," he said.

Directed by Venky Atluri, Vishwanath & Sons marks Suriya's return to romantic drama after a long gap. The film follows Sanjay Vishwanath, an ace pistol shooter in his 40s, whose life is turned upside down when Maddy, a woman half his age played by Mamitha Baiju, falls for him despite the age gap. The film also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nasser and others, with GV Prakash composing the music. Vishwanath & Sons releases in theatres on August 14.
