The directorial debut of Kudumbasthan cinematographer Sujith N Subramaniam has been officially titled Raja's Playlist, with the announcement made following a reveal at Ilaiyaraaja's 50th anniversary concert. Venkat Prabhu has written the story for the film and also introduces his cousin Jaiyan in the lead role.

Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the music, with Sona Olickal starring alongside Jaiyan. Sudha Kongara serves as creative producer, while Ramanan Balagangatharan produces under his Elephantine X banner. The technical crew includes cinematographer Sai Munish, editor Sri Watson and art director Shanoo Muralidharan.

Sharing his excitement, Venkat Prabhu wrote, "Very very happy and proud to introduce my cousin Jaiyan as the lead of Raja's Playlist. I'm equally happy to be a part of this project as the story writer and can't wait for all of you to experience what's in store."
