Art director Karthik Rajkumar has opened up about his experience working with Rajinikanth on Dharman, describing the veteran actor as a remarkably humble and enthusiastic individual whose childlike energy continues to set him apart.

Speaking to Rednool, Karthik confirmed that the film's first schedule has been completed, with the entire shoot conducted on a set. A short break is currently underway before the next schedule begins in about ten days.

Reflecting on Rajinikanth's personality, Karthik shared a memorable anecdote about the actor's photoshoots. "During his photoshoots, he'll look at his own pictures and say, 'Hey, who is this? He looks so good! He looks amazing!' Even if he's joking, the enthusiasm he has is incredible," Karthik said, adding that watching that energy instantly explained why Rajinikanth remains Tamil cinema's biggest star decades on.

Dharman, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International, stars Simran and Raashii Khanna alongside Rajinikanth. Anirudh composes the music, with the film's promotional material describing Rajinikanth's character as "The Deadly Doctor."
