Director Ravi Arasu has launched his production banner Five C's Films, marking two decades in the Tamil film industry. The announcement comes months after he exited Vishal's Magudam following creative differences, with Vishal subsequently stepping in to direct the film himself while Ravi retains a story credit.

A former assistant to Vetri Maaran for ten years starting 2004, Ravi Arasu made his directorial debut with Eetti (2015) starring Atharvaa and Sri Divya, followed by Ayngaran (2022) with GV Prakash. The new banner aims to produce his own directorial ventures while also nurturing young filmmakers, with a focus on entertaining, audience-friendly content. A first production announcement is expected imminently, with the director having previously hinted at a major reveal on May 27.
