Actress Trisha Krishnan who made a splash with Ponniyin Selvan in 2022 has reunited with actor Vijay after 14+ years on Thalapathy 67. Vijay and Trisha first starred alongside each other in the 2004 hit film Ghilli and have since given movies like Thirupaachi (2005), Aadhi (2006) and Kuruvi (2008). Their onscreen pairing in each of these movies was well received by the audience, irrespective of the film's outcome. The early-2000 Vijay-Trisha fans have since eagerly waited for the two actors to reunite on a movie. 

While shooting for Thalapathy 67 has been going on from January 2, 2023, the makers 7 Screen Studio are only just officially confirming the cast and crew list. Trisha's announcement came with the usual poster and a special compilation of her and Vijay's nostalgic film scenes.

Thalapathy 67 is a gangster action drama written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film has Anirudh for music and will see Vijay play a middle-aged don. Trisha is said to be playing Vijay's romantic interest in the movie.
