The Madras High Court on Friday rejected all applications filed by Lyca Productions against director Shankar with respect to the movie Indian 2. After shooting of the Kamal Haasan movie was stalled due to various issues, the producers filed an injunction against Shankar which sought for legal restraint on the director from helming other movies before he completes Indian 2. 

This Madras HC tried to mediate an amicable solution but that did not happen and now the court has dismissed the injunction application. Kamal Haasan who had asked director Lokesh Kanagaraj and team Vikram to wait for this verdict, is now expected to begin that movie.

Director Shankar too seems free of any legal impediments in working on Anniyan Hindi remake with Ranveer Singh or RC 15 with Ram Charan. Previously Lyca had also requested the court to direct Shankar to furnish security of Rs. 170.23 Cr (amount spent on Indian 2 so far) if he wanted to work on another film simultaneously.
