Siva directed family entertainer Annaatthe, which is primarily based on brother-sister bonding has gone through many bumps along its shooting journey. While Sun Pictures have fixed November 4, 2021 as the film's release date, filming of Annaatthe has not resumed post the COVID-19 outbreak on its bio-bubbled sets.

This is all set to change for word is that Annaatthe shooting will resume from either end of February or March beginning. Director Siva is said to have personally met Rajinikanth at his residence to ensure this shooting plan and Rajini, rid of political ambitions and health scares is expected to be seen at the sets soon.
