Director Anand L Rai is producing the Hindi remake of Nayanthara's 2018 black comedy Kolamavu Kokila (KoKo) and it has now been revealed that Janhvi Kapoor will be playing the lead in this heroine-centric movie. Debutant Siddharth Sengupta will be directing the Bollywood adaptation of KoKo, which was originally written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. 

It is worth mentioning here that this is the second South Indian remake project for Janhvi Kapoor, who is also reportedly playing lead in the remake of the Malayalam hit film Helen (2019).
