Ranveer Singh's upcoming sports drama '83' is based on the Cricket World Cup 1983. The actor plays former Team India captain Kapil Dev who went on to lead India to its first World Cup win in cricket. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film will hit the theatres on April 10, 2020.
Kamal Haasan who will be presenting the Tamil version of the film shared the news on his social media page. Kamal Haasan’s Raajkamal Films International, Reliance Entertainment and Y NOT Studios will be presenting 83 in Tamil.

Telugu actor Nagarjuna will be presenting the film in Telugu. He took to his Twiiter page to shared the news.

'83' also features R Badree, Hardy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Bhasin, Ammy Virk and Saahil Khattar in pivotal roles. Ranveer’s wife and actor Deepika Padukone will play his onscreen wife Romi Dev in the film.
