Vijay's Bigil and Karthi's Kaithi are set to lock horns at the Box Office this Diwali. Both the film are hitting the screens worldwide tomorrow (October 25). Vijay's Bigil which is riding high on huge expectations has been the most preferred film among distributors and exhibitors. While on the other hand, Karthi's Kaithi has been struggling to get theatres in TN due to Bigil wave. However the film has managed to get around 200 screens in the state which is a good number to start with.

The film's teaser and trailer have received good response and the scenario is expected to change with good word-of-mouth post the film's release. The screen count is expected to increase further post release based on the film's reception. Kaithi team is very confident about their project and is positive about earning profits with the screens allotted to the film.

Producer SR Prabhu, in a recent interview, had said that 250 screens in TN is enough for the films to bring in profits. Actor Karthi has also reiterated the same that the film has received considerable amount of screens and that both the Diwali releases can make profits releasing together. Considering the budget of Kaithi, the film is expected to earn profits, despite getting lesser screen counts compared to Bigil.
