Madras Talkies produced Vaanam Kottatum which has been co-written by Mani Ratnam has gone on floors, said an official statement from the production house. The movie which is a directorial venture of Mani Ratnam's former associate Dhanasekharan features Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Rajesh and Madonna Sebastin in the lead.

Actors Sarathkumar, his wife Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj and Amitashh Pradhan will also be seen in important roles in the film. Singer Sid Sriram debuts as a music composer with Vaanam Kottatum, which is being bankrolled in association with Lyca Productions.
